It is not a traditional conference filled with hour-long presentations — it is a fast-paced live day where 29 businesses each get 10 focused minutes, and the audience is part of every one of them.

You do not need to own a business or have any previous entrepreneurial experience — you just need to show up.

How each Business Spotlight works
Every participating business gets the same 10 minutes, split four ways. The structure is what keeps eight hours moving and makes the day worth watching from any point.

Five-Minute Audience Connection
Between Business Spotlights, the event host will connect with audience members, highlight live comments, react to the previous presentation, conduct quick polls, ask follow-up questions, and introduce the next business.
That works out to 58 live audience questions across the day and 28 interactive segments between businesses.

Standard participation
$300
The fee is not collected when the business applies. Approved businesses that select this option receive separate payment instructions after review.

Give a Texan up to $200 off and participate for free
Instead of paying the standard $300participation fee, your business may pledge to give at least one Texas resident a discount of up to $200 on your product or service. This creates meaningful value for someone in the Texas Success Connection community while allowing an approved business to participate without paying the standard fee.
- The entire $300 fee may be waived through this option.
- The discount only needs to be valued at up to $200.
- The business must describe the offer in its application.
- The application and proposed offer must be reviewed.
- The fee waiver does not guarantee application approval.
- Participation remains subject to spot availability.
- No payment or financial information is collected through the website.
Live participation
Businesses with a representative available to join the event live for 10 minutes receive priority consideration. The representative should be prepared to introduce the company and its product or service, explain how it can help Texas residents, share a useful piece of business advice, answer two live audience questions, and speak to the company's story, values, philosophy or culture.
Prerecorded participation
Businesses that cannot provide a live representative may apply to submit a prerecorded 10-minute presentation, following the same format and the same content and quality requirements.
Prerecorded presentations will still be considered. However, businesses with representatives who are available to participate live will receive priority consideration.
Do not send a video with your application. Approved businesses receive video submission instructions later.
No payment is collected when you apply. Approved businesses will receive participation instructions after their application has been reviewed.

No. The event is also designed for young professionals, students, people considering career changes, new business owners, and anyone who wants to learn from successful businesses. You do not need to own a business or have any previous entrepreneurial experience.
How much does it cost to attend?
The event is free for attendees.
Where will the event take place?
The event will be held live online. Joining instructions will be sent to registered attendees.
When will the event take place?
The event will take place on a Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time. The final date will be announced.
Do attendees have to watch all eight hours?

Yes. Each Business Spotlight includes time for two quick questions from the live audience.
How are audience questions selected?
The event host may select questions submitted during registration or asked during the live event. Because there are far more attendees than question slots, not every question can be answered.
How can a business participate?
Businesses must submit the Business Spotlight application. Applications are reviewed for audience value, fit, format, and availability.
Does a business need to be headquartered in Texas?
No. Businesses from across the United States may apply, but applicants must explain how their product, service, experience, or advice can benefit Texas residents.
How much does business participation cost?
The standard participation fee is $300 for approved businesses. An approved business may instead request to have the full fee waived by pledging to give at least one Texas resident a discount of up to $200 on its product or service. No payment is collected through this website.
Is submitting an application a guarantee of acceptance?
No. All applications are subject to review, approval, and spot availability.
